Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week we talk about our top ten with a different topic provided by Jana. This week’s topic marks the 10th anniversary of Top Ten Tuesday so there are a few options for this weeks post. Top Ten Tuesday Turns 10! Option 1: pick a past TTT topic you’ve done and re-do/update it (Perhaps you’d remove certain books you put on the list back when you first wrote it, or perhaps you have 10 MORE books you’d add to that list now. You could also re-visit TBR posts, whether seasonal or series you need to finish, etc., and tell us if you’ve read them yet or not. Any variation of this idea works. Feel free to be creative.) Option 2: pick a past TTT topic you wish you’d done, but didn’t get a chance to do. I am going to go over by TTT of Five Star Predictions and talk about which ones I’ve read and my ratings!
This Vicious Cure by Emily Suvada
This was indeed a five star read. I loved this whole series so much. Please go read it right now.
Nyxia by Scott Reintgen
I haven’t managed to pick this one up yet.
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
Sadly, I DNF’d this book. I just didn’t care about any of it.
The Martian by Andy Weir
Another correct for five stars! I loved this book so much.
Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis
I didn’t love this one. I gave it two stars and was really disappointed.
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
I haven’t read this one yet.
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North
Haven’t gotten to this one yet either.
The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black
Another five star! This book was so good.
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
This one was four stars, but the second and third books in the series both got five stars.
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
I haven’t read this one either.
Overall, I think I did pretty good with my predictions for the books that I’ve already read. I’ve only read half of this list, But three out of five made the five stars list and I’m excited to get to my other predictions to see if I was right.
Keep on reading lovelies, Amanda.
Oh I love looking back at 5 star predictions! I hope the ones you haven’t read yet will be 5 stars as well!
My post!
I have hope since a few of them actually were!
Great list! I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy The Song of Achilles; it’s one of my favourites, but I can understand why it doesn’t work for some people. Nevernight is one I still need to try, too. 🙂
So many people love it so I was sad that I didn’t really connect with it!
