Hi, lovelies! Yes, I am here with another TBR post today. There are just so many good readathons happening this month! So this particular readathon is called Myth-A-Thon and it’s hosted by the always wonderful Jesse from Bowties & Books. This is a month-long readathon with four different teams. Each captain has been cast as a mythic God and associated with the four elements. I’ve chosen to be on Team Hades – Fire because I am a Leo and it is Leo season and also I love Hades a lot. So this was the perfect team for me. There are a few challenges for this months reading so let’s get to it!
Hades is the God of flame: Read a hotly anticipated book
How to Make Friends with the Dark by Kathleen Glasgow
Hades famously possesses an invisible cap: Read a book about a protagonist who is invisible to society
The Storm Runner by J.C. Cervantes
Hades also owns a chair of forgetfulness: Read a book you’ve been shelving for far too long
The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee
Hades collects subjects for his kingdom and won’t let them leave: Read a book where the main characters must escape an immoral rule
These Rebel Waves by Sara Raasch
Read the group book
A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
I’ve already read this so I’m going to read another BATB retelling:
Beastly by Alex Flinn
This is what I’ve come up with for Myth-A-Thon! I’ve tried to mix a few books here and there from my two other TBR lists so that I can manage to share books for all the different challenges I’m going to attempt to complete this month. Let me know what you’ll be reading this August below!
Keep on reading lovelies, Amanda.
I hope you enjoy The Thousandth Floor! It’s basically a futuristic Gossip Girl so it’s filled with a lot of drama and is very entertaining 😂
YESS. that makes me so much more excited to read it.
I’m also reading How to Make Friends with the Dark! It’s a bit intimidating though… >.<
Hard topics are always intimidating for me, but that’s probably why I still haven’t managed to pick it up.
Out of these, I’ve only read The Thousandth Floor. It was really entertaining, like a good drama show, haha. Enjoy! 💜
Ohhhh. I’m excited to read it. I’m buddy reading with some friends!
