Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week we talk about our top ten with a different topic provided by Jana. This week’s topic is top ten – Unpopular Bookish Opinions
I love dog-earring pages. Fight me.
I also have no issues with writing/highlighting in your books.
I liked Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. I thought it was fun and enjoyable.
I hate Deckled Edges. I think they look bad and they make it unnecessarily difficult to turn the page.
Some movie adaptations are better than their books (I’m looking at you Dumplin’)
Rainbow Bookshelves seriously stress me out. I love how they look but if I think about it too long it makes me anxious.
I didn’t love The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. I prefer The Mortal Instruments.
AUDIOBOOKS ARE A VALID FORM OF READING. I say I’m reading X book even if I’m listening to the audiobook.
I don’t like the horror genre and I will never willingly pick one up. I also don’t totally understand why people enjoy reading things that make them scared. (You do you, but I don’t enjoy being scared. No horror anything for me, books, movies, podcasts.)
I don’t think there is anything wrong with having a huge physical TBR. Many bookdragons are collectors and enjoy collecting books that everyone loves and talks about.
What are your unpopular opinions? Comment and let me know!
Keep on reading lovelies, Amanda.
