Hi, lovelies! This month there is a wonderful readathon hosted by one of the funniest booktubers out there, Cindy. Find her channel here. She has come up with this readthon to read and celebrate books written by Asian authors and about Asian characters. Check out her announcement video here. There are a few prompts to help choose books and I am going to do my best to fulfill them. Check out this awesome google document that the hosts have put together with book suggestions.
Read any book by an Asian author
Aru Shah and the Song of Death by Roshani Chokshi
Read a graphic novel featuring an Asian character or written/drawn by an Asian author
The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco
I don’t read graphic novels so I’m just going to choose a book that is written by an Asian author that features an Asian character.
Read a book featuring an intersectional Asian character or written by an intersectional Asian identity
The Ship Beyond Time by Heidi Heilig
Read a book by an Asian author that was originally written in their native language
Go by Kazuki Kaneshiro
Read the group book
A Thousand Beginnings and Endings by Ellen Oh
Will you be participating in the Asian Readathon? Let me know what you’re reading in May below!
Keep on reading lovelies, Amanda.
